CaEx-Programme-Overview
At Wurzl14 there will be five days on which you participate in the camp programme. Two days will be spent outside of the campsite succeeding a challenge combined with a hike in the mountains. One day is reserved for workshops where the youths can choose from a long list of different issues (drama, radiocommunication, photography, ….. – there are already lots of ideas) – the final list will be published here in October. A special programme-day will be the “Good-Deed-Day”. On that day the CaEx choose a good deed out of a huge range. The deeds themselves should especially affect the surrounding of the camp. At the end those deeds will be published in local newspapers and media. For all foreign groups we intend to organise trips to different sights like the “National Park Hohe-Tauern” or the so called “Krimmler Wasserfälle”. Before or after the camp there will be the chance of “hospitality”. The foreign groups will be able to extend their stay and live with Scouts of Salzburg for a few days. A perfect possibility to get new friends and have a closer look on Salzburg’s sights. On the fifth day you are going to attend to different tasks and play games (some of them together, some of them against each other) in small, mixed teams of GuSp, CaEx and RaRo (10 to 13, 13 to 16 and 16 to 20 year old girl guides and boy scouts). At the end of the day there will be a culinary surprise. A highlight of the CaEx-Subcamp will be the central tent where you can join campfires, sing an play with the the other CaEx – sure you’ll get some new friends there. Another highlight and additionally programme:

Our motto: be creative or just chilling out Description: The Wurzl – building is a playground and meeting place which is available for all camp participants during the entire camp and you can help to shape it. Here you can run free and only contribute with wood and string part to the large Wurzl construction of your creativity. You can enhance the playground and maybe even make your newly invented place the most popular meeting place in the entire camp. But you can also simply stop by and hang out on one of the daring designs . You can make a fire here . You can cuddle here . You can realize up here and we ‘ll help you . At the workshop days you also have the opportunity to learn skills with a chainsaw and other tools or to show. Together, we build on these days an even bigger toy: Be it a ferris wheel or a climbing frame . Of course, we work here, quite wurzlmäßig without screws and nails … because we know that it can be done without it. Supervision: Martin Fellinghauer and Christoph Fuchs The architect and graphic designer help you with advice and practical tipps. With large buildings such as the fountain in the center of the b.open 2001, or the giant tipi at the Residenz Square in Salzburg for the 100 – year anniversary of the Boy Scouts 2007, they left her mark on the show. Both look to their group on a long tradition of building stock and have access to a large pool of labor equipment and material. Duration: Every day , for the entire storage period , with supervision at certain times. At the workshop days for you as workshop participants throughout the day .
The Day of good turn
Many people know the old devise of the scouts, to „do a good turn daily“. Though this sounds just like a positive cliché tot he most, we want to animate this motto for one day. On one of the four workshop days the Caravelles and Explorer dedicate their time and power this slogan. Across the camp site and troughout the Gastein valley and the closer region, the Scouts attend different projects to do good to the community and environment. We will work and spend time on different projects and will meet people of different origin and generations. The assignment takes place at the camp depending on age and abilities.
